Monday–Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Excluding specific holidays)
Saturday: Open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Excluding specific holidays)
Sunday: Closed

Parking:
On-site parking is available. Large groups and school tours are asked to call (502) 564- 3449 to make arrangements and get information about providing identification. Bus parking is available along Capitol Avenue in front of the Capitol building.

Style of Architecture:
Beaux Arts style with elements of classical architecture; a combination of Greek architecture with highly ornate elegance of French styling.

Security
The following measures are in place for the safety of visitors to the Kentucky State Capitol:

A valid photo ID is required to enter the Capitol building.
Congregating or blocking hallways or entrances to the front of offices or open spaces is prohibited. Assembly is limited to areas designated and approved for gathering.
To provide for safe entrance, exit and assembly in the Capitol, all groups should abide by capacity limits and ensure the unimpeded flow of traffic.
Facilities Management reserves the right to limit public events to designated areas of the Capitol grounds based upon the advice of Capitol security or if the event negatively impacts building and maintenance needs.
Livestock on the State Capitol grounds is prohibited except in cases of prior application with the express written approval of Facilities Management.
